Aboite Branch Shelver, 10 hours per week

Part-time, 10 hours per week at the Aboite Branch

: Assist in retrieving and returning books and other library materials at patron or staff request. Receive and sort material from other library agencies, preparing it for return to the owning agency. This position is one of the library's basic building blocks of excellent public service.

: Completion of tenth grade. Analytical ability sufficient for shelving and retrieving materials stored in specific numerical or alphabetical order. Good interpersonal skills for work in exchanging factual information with co-workers and patrons. Strong physical stamina as this job requires standing, walking, stooping, and stretching more than 80% of the work time. Cooperative spirit, enthusiasm, friendliness, energy, resourcefulness, initiative, tact, good judgment, and a sense of humor are essential. Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday – hours vary.

: Bilingual ability in Spanish or an Asian language is desirable but not required.

: Hourly rate is $8.71 per hour. Two weeks vacation. Federal credit union. Employee assistance program. Voluntary flexible spending plan. Free parking.
